Why We Built Align as a Daily Planner, Not Another System
Align is a daily planner and to-do list for people who feel scattered — speak or type tasks, put them on a clock, and start today. Here’s the product call behind it.
Most productivity apps try to become your operating system: projects, teams, calendars, habits, coaching. That is useful for some people. It is also why a lot of us open a to-do list, feel behind before we start, and close it again.
Align is the opposite bet. It is a daily planner and to-do list for iPhone and iPad — made by Risition — for getting today in order, not for modelling your whole life.
Plan the day, not the methodology
The job is simple: capture what you need to do, decide when it happens, and see a list you can finish. Speak a task or type it. Put it on a clock if it needs a time. Get a reminder. Check it off. That loop is the product.
If you want a full calendar, a work team workspace, or an app that coaches your routine, Align is not trying to be that. We would rather be the daily planner you actually open.
Capture has to be faster than the excuse
Scattered days usually fail at the front door. You remember something in the kitchen, or on a walk, and the app asks you to pick a project, a tag, and a nested due date. Align’s Quick Capture is built for that moment: say what you need to do, and when. You can type it too.
Where to go next
If that sounds like how you want to work, Align is on the App Store as Align: Daily Task Planner. The product page on this site walks through timeboxing, reminders, progress, and the Home Screen widget — and who the app is not for.
